Fiddes Decking Oil
Fiddes Decking Oil has advanced water-repellent properties, designed to penetrate deeply into both smooth and roughly sawn decking and exterior timber. Protect and restore your wood with its high resistance to wear and water penetration, coupled with excellent beading. Choose between a range of clear and natural colour shades with UV-filters for fade protection. Ideal for use on all types of decking, panelling, sheds and fencing.
Formulated to preserve, protect and restore. Prevents splitting and surface growth of algae whilst also offering high resistance to wear and water penetration, with excellent beading. Ideal for use on all pressure/preservative treated hardwood or softwood.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish. Remove any fungal growth, dirt or moss on old wood prior to application. Sand the substrate with a medium 120 grade sanding paper, removing all traces of dust.
Application
Apply in dry conditions. Always test on a small area prior to initial application to check colour shade. On all new timber, coat thoroughly to seal, ideally prior to installation.
First coat: Stir contents thoroughly before and during use. Apply consistently using a good quality bristle or synthetic brush and lay evenly, following the direction of the grain. Leave to dry 6 to 12 hours.
Second coat: Sand lightly if necessary and apply as first coat. Longer drying periods may occur during application in cold, damp or humid conditions. Clean applicators with Fiddes White Spirit.
Coverage
A single application will cover approximately 8 square metres per litre, depending on density of substrate.

I have used safely in accordance with health and safety and it seems to have done the job! Although it was difficult to gauge how to mix as I mixed the whole 1L in 4L of water as per instructions and ended up with quite a bit of leftover! Couldn't pour it down the drain so had to pour it into sealed plastic bottles and took it to the local COSHH recycling centre near me! Would probably help if packaged into half litre bottles as les wastage then!

Applied GK black spot remover on my painted rendered conservatory walls which had black patches and spots. It went on easily and then as recommended left solution on for a few hours. All spots and patches disappeared soon after application but left it on for a few hours anyway. Hosed it off and walls looked perfect, really clean and no black spots. Thoroughly recommend. Good delivery as well.
